Qaziyo is a private company registered in the Republic of Uganda. By downloading the app, you consent as follows:

By downloading Qaziyo App, I hereby give consent to the collection and processing of my personal information. I hereby certify that all the information provided by me/us is true and correct to the best of my knowledge, and that any misrepresentations or falsity therein will be considered as an act to defraud Qaziyo and its partners. I authorize Qaziyo to verify and investigate the above statements/information as may be required. I further agree that this application and all supporting documents and any other information obtained relating to this application shall be used by Qaziyo, and shall remain its property.

1. Introduction

Qaziy is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our platform to connect with service providers and access our services. This policy shall apply the mobile app on both Google play and IOS and any other site or service accessed through the app.

2. Terms used in this policy shall have the following meanings:

“Customer” or “User” means any individual within the Territory to which either Party provides its products or services.
“Information” means your Personal Data, confidential information, and or Tax Information, including relevant information about you, your transactions, your use of our products and services, and your relationships with Qaziyo.
“Laws” include any local or foreign law, regulation, judgment or court order, voluntary code, sanctions regime, an agreement between any member of Qaziyo and an Authority, or agreement or treaty between Authorities and applicable to Qaziyo or a member of Qaziyo.
“Personal Data” or “Personal Information” refers to any information whether recorded in a material form or not, from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained by the entity holding the information, or when put together with other information would directly and certainly identify an individual.
“Services” includes (a) maintaining the Qaziyo mobile web application software (App) available on our site OR hosted on the Google Play Store and iOS, once you have downloaded or streamed a copy of the App onto your mobile telephone or handheld device (Device).
“Qaziyo” means Qaziyo Company Limited, its affiliates, subsidiaries, associated entities and any of their branches and offices (together or individually), and “member of Qaziyo” has the same meaning.
“We”, “Our” and “Us” refer to Qaziyo.

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of data:

• Personal Information: Name, phone number, email address, location, identification number and payment details.
• Usage Data: Device type, browser, IP address, and activity logs.
• Service Records: Booking history, ratings, and communication between users and providers.
• Information you give us or collected on your behalf by one of our Field Officers (Submitted information).
• Technical information, including the type of mobile device you use, unique device identifiers (for example, your Device's IMEI or serial number)
• Location information. We may also use GPS technology or other location services to determine your current location.
• Information we receive from other sources (Third Party Information).

By uninstalling the App from your Device, you can withdraw your consent from accessing your Customer Information in the future by emailing us.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Facilitate bookings and payments
• Improve platform functionality and user experience
• Communicate updates, promotions, and service alerts
• Resolve disputes and enforce platform policies
• Comply with legal and tax obligations (e.g., VAT reporting)
• To verify your identity;
• To disburse loans and collect payments for your use of the Service;
• To build the credit models and perform credit scoring;
• To analyze customer behavior; To allow our partners to fulfill their obligations to you;
• To allow us to fulfill our obligations to our partners;
• To troubleshoot problems with the Service;
• To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and rules, such as those relating to "know-your-customer" and anti-money laundering requirements;
• To detect and prevent fraud and other illegal uses of the Service;
• To send you marketing notices, service updates, and promotional offers; and
• To contact you by telephone using auto-dialed or pre-recorded message calls or text (SMS) messages (if applicable) as authorized for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Verified service providers to fulfill bookings
• Payment processors (e.g. Mobile Money, banks)
• Legal authorities when required by law
• Analytics and support tools to improve services

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold Qaziyo and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, co-branders or other partners, employees, independent contractors, and representatives harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, costs or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and disbursements) which arise directly or indirectly out of or from (i) your breach of this Policy (ii) your access or use of the Sites and/or the Services. This indemnification shall survive in the event this arrangement is terminated for any reason.

All content and materials on and available through this website are owned and copyrighted by Qaziyo and all rights are reserved. You may NOT use, copy, modify, redevelop, distribute, transmit, display, reproduce, publish, license, provide, derive other content from, transfer, or sell any information, products, or services obtained from or through this website without first obtaining written consent from Qaziyo.

13. Governing Law

This policy shall be governed by the Laws of the Republic of Uganda and any dispute arising hereunder shall be referred to a court of competent jurisdiction in Uganda.
